Furnace Installation in Grantley, PA
Furnace Installation in Grantley, York County, at any hour. The 17403 area is worked by the nearest crew rather than dispatched from across the state.
We install furnaces in Grantley, and we would rather first tell you honestly whether you need one. A fair share of the systems we are called to quote on need a repair instead, and we say so.
Call (215) 484-0300 at any hour and a person answers. No menu, no answering service, and no callback queue for a Grantley house with no heat.
The venting question
If your old furnace shares a chimney with a gas water heater and you move to a sidewall-vented condensing unit, that water heater is left alone on a flue sized for two appliances. It may then be too cold and too large to draft safely, and relining belongs in the quote rather than in a surprise later.
Heating and cooling around Grantley
Heating in Grantley tends to split between gas furnaces in newer housing and hydronic systems in the older stock. York County has a good deal of nineteenth-century building still in daily use, and much of it is heated by boilers that reward proper servicing.
Propane is common enough here that tank level and regulator faults are worth ruling out before anything else on a no-heat call.
An oversized furnace short cycles, wears itself out and heats a Grantley house unevenly. Getting the size right is worth more than getting the efficiency rating up.
What happens when you call
If the honest answer is that the repair is not worth doing, we say so, including when a replacement would pay us considerably better. That is how the Grantley work has grown by recommendation.

Furnace Installation in Grantley — questions
Do you cover Grantley for furnace installation?
Yes. Grantley in York County is inside our service area and the 17403 postal area is worked by the nearest crew. Call (215) 484-0300 at any hour, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Should I consider a heat pump instead?
For some Grantley properties, yes — particularly where you also want cooling, or where the alternative is electric resistance heat. We will give you the comparison for your actual house.
How do you decide what size I need?
From a heat loss calculation for your actual house, not a rule of thumb and not by matching the old unit. Insulation and window upgrades mean many Grantley homes now need less furnace than they had.
Is a 95 percent furnace always better?
Not always. It depends on fuel cost, how long you will stay, and what the venting change involves — including whether a shared chimney needs relining for a water heater left on it.
