Furnace Installation in Refton, PA
Furnace Installation for Refton properties, on call around the clock. Call (215) 484-0300 and describe what the system is doing.
A furnace fitted at the wrong size or vented badly will disappoint a Refton household for the next twenty years. Most of the value in this job sits in decisions made before anything is unboxed.
Describe the symptom rather than the part. Working out which component that points at is our job, and it is faster over the phone than you might expect.
The venting question
If your old furnace shares a chimney with a gas water heater and you move to a sidewall-vented condensing unit, that water heater is left alone on a flue sized for two appliances. It may then be too cold and too large to draft safely, and relining belongs in the quote rather than in a surprise later.
Heating and cooling around Refton
Around Refton the fuel is usually natural gas, though propane turns up wherever the main stops short. What makes Lancaster County distinctive is the age of the buildings: stone farmhouses and pre-war homes that were designed around radiators and later had ductwork threaded through them.
Those retrofits are behind a lot of the comfort complaints we are called about — rooms that never settle, and a system blamed for duct problems.
Higher efficiency is not automatically the right answer. It depends on your fuel cost, how long you intend to stay, and what the venting change involves — and we will show you that comparison honestly.

Furnace Installation in Refton — questions
Do you cover Refton for furnace installation?
Yes. Refton in Lancaster County is inside our service area and the 17568 postal area is worked by the nearest crew. Call (215) 484-0300 at any hour, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Do I need a permit in Refton?
Often yes, but it is set locally rather than by the state, since Pennsylvania has no statewide HVAC contractor licence. We handle whatever your township requires.
Should I consider a heat pump instead?
For some Refton properties, yes — particularly where you also want cooling, or where the alternative is electric resistance heat. We will give you the comparison for your actual house.
Is a 95 percent furnace always better?
Not always. It depends on fuel cost, how long you will stay, and what the venting change involves — including whether a shared chimney needs relining for a water heater left on it.
